Each school morning the Breakfast Club runs from 7:45 to 8:45 providing up to 24 children with a healthy breakfast and activities as part of our Extended Schools provision. Children who require breakfast should arrive before 8.15am.
Miss Nicol, Mrs. Smith & Mrs. Mayhew offer a welcoming and stimulating environment with a range of activities including homework support and the opportunity for musical instrument practice.
Sessions are limited to ensure we maintain best-practice staff to pupil ratios. The cost of each session is currently £3.50 and you can book your places online via our cashless payments system.
Cancellation of bookings with less than 24 hours notice or non-attendance of sessions due to illness etc. are non-refundable.
Gardening Club is open to Yr 4, 5 and 6 pupils free of charge, it is run by Rebecca Clarke on a Monday lunch time (12:45 – 1:15pm). Rebecca will be providing progress updates on the gardening blog.
Music lessons are available at the school and these are held during school hours.
The cost for these lessons are £32.00 per hr, £16.00 per half hr or £10.67 per 20 mins. There is also an additional cost for the hire of an instrument should one be required. The recommended age to begin lessons is 7 years of age.
Our music teachers are from Norfolk Music Services, County Hall.
Miss Anna Drake teaches flute, clarinet & saxophone on a Monday morning (08:50 – 10:30am).
Mr Gary Ames teaches violin on a Monday (12:20 – 1:40pm).
Mrs Beverley McInnes teaches piano on a Tuesday afternoon (2:05 – 4:15pm).
Mr Jack Torn teaches guitar on a Friday morning (08:40 – 10:45am).
Please see the office to check availability if you are interested in your child having lessons. Please note that a notice period of one half-term is required should you wish to cease your lessons.
Swimming lessons will begin in the Spring term on Tuesday mornings at Long Stratton High School. Children from Years 3 to 6 who cannot currently swim 25m will be taken by minibus for weekly lessons which will finish when they have achieved the standard. Each week two groups of 15 children will swim; the groups will change as and when children are able to swim 25m.
