Brooke VC CE Primary School enjoys a strong relationship with St. Peter’s Parish Church in Brooke. The new Revd. Lynn Chapman actively supports our school, and involves the school warmly in events at the church. The school looks forward to marking Easter, Harvest and Christmas with the Church and wider Brooke community as well as our annual Leavers’ Service. Lynn also represents our church foundations on the governing body, and alongside our other governors provides invaluable support, commitment and advice, working alongside us for the benefit of the children, families and staff of Brooke.
Daily Act of Worship
At Brooke, we have a daily act of worship. This is important to all members of our school community as we value the chance to be together and reflect on the values that are part of our distinctiveness as a Church of England school. The themes are linked to the school ethos statement:
The children say that the calm music at the beginning of acts of worship sets the scene for what is to come and the children enjoy and remember the prayer which ends each act of worship. They also remember songs about God and that they like to think about God during this time.
Church School Inspection
As a Voluntary Controlled Church of England primary school, we are subject to Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS), evaluating how the Christian character of the school has an impact on the learners and the school community. The latest report is below:-
