It doesn’t seem that long ago that we launched our own trial of Computer Club where we introduced our pupils to the BBC micro:bit. Our first term was a great success and we’ve built, created and coded a wide range of different things – from games to remote control robots, step counters and musical instruments.
This term we have been focussed on our Space Programme where we will be using a weather balloon to launch a number of micro:bit based experiments into the stratosphere! We’re hoping to launch our balloon on Tuesday 16th May.
The BBC micro:bit has been extremely popular in the UK and is now being rolled out globally by the Micro:bit Foundation.
Brooke Primary School are delighted to be able to share the experience and skills that we have developed so far and are supporting in the development of micro:bit based curriculum content for the most recent deployment of the BBC micro:bit in Sri Lanka. We are very proud to be listed as partners for the Micro:bit Sri Lanka User Group and are very much looking forward to working with the group as they roll out their micro:bit curriculum and we hope to be able to meet with both pupils and teachers over videoconference in the near future!
