This week we have been learning about algebra in maths and about how to solve word problems. We have also been learning about sequences in algebra, like 2n+7=[ ] or in sequences such as 5,9,13,17,21… in this question you need to find out what the formula is. We learnt that this is called the nth term rule.
In our science work, we have been doing ‘Swallows take on The Apprentice’- have we got what it takes? Mr Grifiths was Lord Sugar and got to choose how much of each group’s product he wanted to buy. He based this on our presentation, suitability of the product, accurate costing and teamwork. The winning group this week was ‘smiley in the rain’, who made a profit of £1092 in the challenge.
In English we’ve been writing a biography about Fredrick Wilson, who cycled on a penny farthing from Southwold to Hunstanton. Fredrick was a fictional character which we created through drama and hot-seating.
