This week in Swallow class we have been learning about lots of different things.
In maths, we have been learning about ratios and amounts. We coloured in some 100 squares in 2 different colours and then had to work out the percentage, fraction, decimal and ratio of the amount shaded.
In English this week we have been finishing of our refugee news report. We did this from Monday to Wednesday. Then on Thursday we started to plan and write our 500 words story for kids. On Friday we finished off our 500 word story and then we started to write them up on the computers.
On Friday this week, it was climate change day. To help and support this, most of the class decided to go on strike for the whole day. Luckily, Miss Ringwood supported our decision in this so we were allowed to stay silent for the whole day without speaking. We were also allowed to do English outside because most of the country are on strike as well as staying outside.
In science this week we have been doing the Apprentice. However, we had to come up with a product to keep food and drink at the right temperature. Mrs Wilson was Lady Sugar and had to judge who’s product was best and in the results Jass Bags (by the way it stands for Josh Austin Sicily and Scarlette) made the most profit.
