As well as continuing to find out about life in the past including trying writing with quills, Robin class have been checking out current affairs. Some of us looked at hot water provision in school and realised it takes a little while to get from the tank to the tap. They made posters to share what they had found out. We have also been enjoying our maths challenges too!
05.03.20 What an exciting Day!
Robins loved World Book Day. We shared the thinking behind our costumes and enjoyed listening to stories on the World Book Day website.
Kristian Thomas put us through our keep fit paces and then amazed us with his gymnastic skills.

Robins are really enjoying our new topic 'castles'. They have been keen to find out about castles inside and out and have worked hard to create our castle role play area. They have enjoyed making very personal shields with clues about who they might belong to... Look out for them in Robin class soon!

Robins have been very enthusiastic about Rapunzel at the end of this week. There has been lots of tower making.and it has inspired our writing. Miss Oliver found her Rapunzel book had vanished but Robins wrote one and we had lots of enthusiastic illustrators.

Robin Class have enjoyed The Three Bears this week. They have been oral story telling, mask making, eating porridge and using it to write numbers in. I wonder if they will find any bears in the woods?

The children have loved their new topic ' Story Land' this week. The Gingerbread man has been a huge hit. They have retold the story and created their own Gingerbread people...and monsters! They have also looked at what might happen if the Gingerbread Man fell in the river.

Robins have been settling into school routines this term, and having been busy learning, exploring and building friendships inside the classroom, in the outside area, and at the Wishing woods.
They have learned about different celebrations, and built a church in the classroom to host a wedding!
After some amazing Nativity performances we enjoyed lovely Christmas lunch and had a very special visitor.
Thank you for the lovely presents Santa!
