Our Ethos

A small federation of small schools in South Norfolk. We are making the schools that we would have wanted to go to. By working together in collaboration, we improve one another and support each other to grow. Sunflowers are known for their resilience and symbolise hope, happiness, and growth. Our federation nurtures childrens’ academic, personal, and spiritual growth. It inspires children, staff, and parents to strive for excellence in all aspects of their life, just as sunflowers grow towards the sun and reach their full potential.

The roots, for Brooke CE VC’s church foundations, indicate that we are rooted and grounded in God's love, which is at the core of all our actions and educational philosophy. The stem represents our curriculum, which provides a strong foundation for our children across both schools to grow and thrive. The leaves symbolise our values, which drive our decision-making and behaviour. The petals are indicative of our key focuses such as DEI, careers, and compassion. Lastly, the bees and butterflies that are flying away from the sunflower represent the things that we want our children to leave us with, which are the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to make a positive impact in the world.

PTFA Info

The school is fortunate in having an active and supportive Parent, Teacher & Friends Association.

Keep up to date on events and ‘Like’ us on Facebook.

We also publish details of upcoming events here.

About us

The Brooke School Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) was constituted in 2007 and is a registered charity. As set out in its Constitution, the role of the PTFA is to help advance the education of pupils in the school through the organisation of fund-raising activities that support the school.

As the name suggests, members of the PTFA can include; parents, guardians, carers of pupils attending the school, friends of the school, and members of the teaching and non-teaching staff currently employed by the school. The head teacher is also an ex-officio member of the PTFA.

AGM

An Annual General Meeting takes place in September each year where a Chairperson, a Secretary and a Treasurer are nominated and appointed together with any co-opted members. All PTFA members give their time freely for the benefit of the school.

Meetings

PTFA meetings take place at least once a term, usually at the school. Sub-groups are also used to plan and organise the various fund-raising events during the year.

Communications

There are a number of ways the PTFA communicates with parents. We have an email distribution list of active PTFA members i.e. those who are willing to give their time, input into events and help run them. Any willing volunteer can add their name to this list by contacting the PTFA Secretary who maintains the email group. We update all parents about what is happening through the weekly school ‘Brooke Report’ bulletin too and we also have a Facebook page

Scholastic

Scholastic UK is a leading publisher and seller of children's books and educational resources. By ordering through our web link (below), raises money for our school to purchase more resources for the school.
